Our Qualifications

Neal Shepard has been in the insurance business since 1973. He has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors for his career. He began his securities business in 1992 and has worked with clients for 25 years. He has served the community in leadership capacities with the Kiwanis Club, the Red Cross, and the Chamber of Commerce. His career includes 4 terms in the Georgia Legislature, and remains active with friends and contacts in Washington D.C. Neal serves as Vice Chairman of the Coweta Fayette EMC, and is Chairman of the EMC Gas board (True Natural Gas). He also serves on the Relyco Board of Directors, and was elected vice chairman of Georgia Systems Operations Company , GSOC is part of the Oglethorpe Power organization. Neal serves on the Audit committee of GSOC, which is the company that provides the control services and operates the power grid for the Coopertives throughout the State of Georgia. Neal is also the delegate from GSOC to the Georgia EMC (GEMC) board of directors. He also served 10 years as Chairman of the board of the Coweta Country Water and Sewer authority. During the 90's Neal and his brother Phillip owned and operated White Oak Athletic Center, which they sold to Georgia Baptist in 1997. Neal's business and community background qualify him to work with business clients during this time of increased scrutiny for business owners and board members.

Neal and his wife Jodie, have 3 sons, Jay, John, and Matt. Jodie is a Realtor with Lindsey's Realtors, and was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Georgia Real Estate Commission. They also are proud grandparents of Taylor and Molly who are John's children, and Jesse, who is the son of Jay and Erin. Matt is married to Rhea and has four children, John and Clara, Mary Olive and Ada Eloise. Jodie and Neal are members of First Baptist Church.
